Phoenix 's Story
Phoenix is a beautiful 10-month-old German Shepherd with a gentle spirit and so much potential just waiting to bloom. She joined the Serendipity pack in February, through no fault of her own, after her previous owner could no longer care for her.

Naturally timid, Phoenix can be unsure when meeting new people or navigating unfamiliar situations. She needs time to feel safe—but once she does, her true personality begins to shine. Her previous owner described her as a playful, affectionate girl, and we’re already starting to see glimpses of that sweet, loving side.

One of Phoenix’s biggest confidence boosts has been doggie daycare. She enjoys being around other dogs and has started to engage in play, but she doesn’t always need to be in the middle of the action. Phoenix often prefers to observe from her favorite spot—perched on the slide—taking everything in at her own pace. It’s a perfect reflection of her thoughtful, gentle nature. Because of this, she would likely thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help guide her and show her the world isn’t so scary.

Phoenix is working on building confidence on walks. She is making steady progress, but the outdoors can still feel overwhelming at times, and she may be skittish or unsure in new environments. She will need a patient adopter who can continue this work and help her gain confidence at her own pace.

Phoenix is reported to be crate-trained and does well with structure and routine. She has not yet been introduced to cats or young children. While calm, dog-savvy older children may be a good fit, a busy home with toddlers or very young kids would likely be overwhelming for her at this stage.

Like her name suggests, Phoenix is ready to rise—she just needs a patient, loving person to help her find her wings. She needs an understanding adopter who is willing to go at her pace and celebrate the small wins along the way. With kindness, consistency, and love, she has all the makings of a deeply loyal and devoted companion. If you’re ready to help a shy girl become the amazing dog she’s meant to be, Phoenix may be your perfect match.

-------------------
Our Adoption Fees:
-------------------

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450

* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400

* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program!
