Phoenix's Story
Phoenix is such a sweet and gentle soul. He was found in a homeless encampment and presumably lived a life on and off the streets. we can tell he was once a loved family member, we can see it in the way he softens and melts, gently takes treats, sits for a snack, gives kisses to say thank you. He definitely seems to be a sensitive guy, afraid of louder sounds and movements so we think he'd do best in a quiet household where he can go in the back yard sunbathe a bit, come in and find his cozy bed and sleep a bit, eat, and repeat with some intermittent cuddles and kisses in between.<br/>Phoenix came to us extremely thin but has gained a healthy amount of weight on home-cooked food and supplements. He recently went to the vet because his fur was falling out and a biopsy came back with Color Dilute Alopecia. He is currently taking melatonin and we have reduced stress and his fur is on the rebound. He is a lovely and quiet gent who is waiting for a place to finally call home. P.S., Phoenix loves the car and will sit in it for hours if you let him!Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org
