ADOPTER NEEDS TO LIVE BETWEEN ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS AND MADISON, WISCONSIN<br/><br/>Phoebe is a sweet young Pitbull mix, born in June of 2024. A young Mom who is an acquaintance of our rescue took her in not realizing how much energy Phoebe has, and she is asking for our help in getting Phoebe an adopter who works best for her. We are specifically looking for someone who might work from home or is recently retired who has the time to get Phoebe out for a good long walk every day and interact / play with her in a COMPLETELY FENCED YARD to help her wear down some of her energy. We are told that if she's stuck indoors for a long time with no way of releasing energy she will destroy toys (not furniture or household items). An adopter who will seek professional training would be ideal! She is potty / house trained and gets along with the Yorkie in her current human's parents home. When she meets other dogs on walks she just sniffs them. There is a cat in the home that just steers clear of Phoebe because of her energy. No small children due to Phoebe's energy. Older children who have been taught to be gentle are OK. We have a spay appointment scheduled for her on December 19. 2025 in Madison Wisconsin. Our requirements are: if you are chosen to adopt Phoebe, you will take Phoebe in as a foster and sign a contract saying that you will keep her from interacting with unaltered dogs . Our rescue will transport her to the spay appointment. AFTER she is spayed, you will sign adoption papers. WE WILL BACK GROUND CHECK AND MAKE SURE PHOEBE ENDS UP IN THE RIGHT, RESPONSIBLE HANDS.
