Phoebe's Story

Phoebe is a 4-year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix with a heart as big as her smile! This beautiful tan-and-white girl is known for her wagging tail, loving personality, and enthusiasm for life. In fact, she wags her tail so hard she has little callouses on the end from pure happiness!

Phoebe absolutely adores people and has never met a stranger. Whether you're a longtime friend or someone she's just met, she's ready to greet you with affection and excitement. She loves car rides, outdoor adventures, running, long walks, and being part of whatever her humans are doing.

This smart girl has completed professional training and according to her previous owner knows commands like sit, stay, down, come, leave it, and off, and walks very nicely on leash. She's both house-trained and crate-trained and thrives when given structure, exercise, and plenty of attention.

She would love a home where she can enjoy daily exercise, adventures, and lots of quality time with her people. While she has lived with other animals, we feel Phoebe should be placed as an only dog in the home due to resource guarding with other dogs. While she has joined playgroups with other dogs here and has a history of living with them, managing resource guarding around food can be quite challenging for a new adopter.

Like many special dogs, Phoebe has a few unique needs. She manages environmental and food allergies with a specialized diet and care routine. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who loves deeply, lives life to the fullest, and brings joy everywhere she goes.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate best friend who will be your walking partner, road-trip companion, and biggest fan, Phoebe may be the perfect match for you!
