Phoebe's Story

Daily Routine: I am up around 5am and go for a walk right away. When I get home, I enjoy breakfast and cuddle time on the couch with my 2-legged siblings. I am learning that crates are ok and that 2-legged family members need to go to work and school.

What I love to do: The more walks the better! I have a lot of puppy energy! I like to be active so I need things to entertain myself - bones, toys, etc. If I am bored, I find things to keep me entertained - unrolling toilet paper, ripping Kleenex boxes apart.

Personal goals: My foster mom said I'm kind of like a wrecking ball. I am very excited, boisterous and sometimes overactive when meeting other dogs. I do best with slow introductions. After these introductions, I just want to play, play, play! My foster mom says something about formal training??

Favorite thing to do with my best friend: Play, play, play! My foster family has these other animals (cats) that look fun to chase but they don't come near me. My foster mom says I'm too excited or something ::eyeroll::

Kind of family I want: I really want an active family! I like kids but since I'm learning not to nip older kids would be best.

Biggest fears I don't like the loud thing that cleans the floors. Bigger dogs seem scary at first.

Ideal weekend plans: I am very much a happy-go-lucky pup. Walk me, feed me, cuddle me and I'll be your best friend forever!!

To apply to adopt Phoebe, please fill out the application under the "Adoption" heading on our website www.bassetbuddiesrescue.org where you can also find other information about our adoption process.

Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c )(3) not-for-profit organization and all donations are used expressly for the welfare of the dogs and most are tax deductible (please contact your tax adviser for more information).
