Phil's Story

Phil is a happy and friendly young dog, with boundless joy to share, and he's looking for a stable, committed home to enjoy an active life with him.

Phil loves to play, whether it's a toy, a person, or a dog, he's up for it! He played with a lot of dogs in his previous home, and did well with everyone. He's been put in his place by a cat previously, so he now mostly avoids them. He has shown a prey drive toward other small animals. He would be fine with kids, but they should be sturdy and probably older -- he is still learning to keep four feet on the floor, and he's also not totally aware of his body, so he runs into children easily.

This active boy is crate trained, and relaxes in his safe space when left home alone. He also chooses his open-door crate throughout the day for naps.

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Phil's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Phil.
