Pheobe IX 26-021's Story

Meet Pheobe!
Pheobe is a 2-year-old Lab mix with a heart as big as her smile. She came to us after being surrendered to a local shelter when her family could no longer afford to care for her. When CARE met her, it didn't take long to fall in love-and we knew she deserved a fresh start.
Pheobe is as sweet and social as they come. She's wonderful with people of all ages and sizes, making her a great fit for a variety of homes. She absolutely adores other dogs and is always ready to make new playmates, and she even does well with cats-making her a rare, all-around companion.
With her loving personality and easygoing nature, Pheobe is the kind of dog who will fit right into your life and quickly become part of the family. Whether it's playtime with furry friends or relaxing with her people, she's just happy to be included.
If you're looking for a friendly, well-rounded dog who gets along with everyone she meets, Pheobe might be your perfect match!

Pheobe is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $300.

Pheobe is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. She will graduate from Paws in Prison on 6/27/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.

For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with the trainers.

If you are interested in meeting Pheobe or learning more about our adoption process, please submit an adoption application. Thank you!

Sponsor: William Magee
