PHENIX's Story
Phenix came into the shelter as an owner surrender, with a younger female housemate dog who has since been adopted. He and the housemate dog were very shy when they first arrived. The enjoyed each other's company quite a bit, and seemed to gain confidence when together. His housemate has since been adopted and Phenix has been enjoying life in a foster home. In foster he is with another dog and a cat. He does very well with the other dog, and has generally ignored the cat. We always recommend slow introductions to resident pets, and we feel that Phenix would very much enjoy having a canine companion in his adoptive home. Phenix is a shy, sensitive boy. He is generally well behaved and a master of sit and shake. He is fearful of new and loud noises, and can be avoidant of going outside when there is a lot of ambient noise (road construction, etc). If you would like to meet Phenix please contact the shelter so we can arrange a meeting!
