Pharoh's Story

Meet 3 yr old Pharoh
This regal teddy bear had a loving family and spent time training him but one day dropped him and his brother off at boarding and never came to pick them up. They were in danger of going to a high kill shelter in the desert and we were contacted. I was very impressed with how well behaved they were upon first assessment. There is littermate syndrome so they unfortunately have to be adopted seperate.

He is very playful , loves chasing the ball. He would be so happy with kids to play with in a backyard.
Loves tugaware but tires out quickly
Loves walks and has a curious nature.
Loves to cuddle on the couch and get hugs. He loves belly rubs, and loves affection more than snacks. He takes treats out of your hand very gently. He loves the outdoors, hiking, and going for rides. He just wants to please his owner so he listens very well. He will check in with you with eye contact.
He is up to date on vaccines, doggy door trained, house broken, neutered, chipped and waiting to meet his forever famili.

Healing Hounds Rescue's Adoption Policy
I have them fill out my foster/adoption contract and after receiving I call to vet them and understand their abilities and the type of dog they would like. We have a good hour long convo of everything from slow introductions, training, positive reinforcement, needs of the dog, and the adopters expectations. I either do a home check or ask for pictures of where the dog would be staying, sleeping, eating. Then we plan a meet and greet with adopter and adopters other animals or family members to see how the dog reacts. I want to set up my rescues for success and make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
