Petunia's Story

Meet Petunia!

Petunia is a 6-year-old Bull Terrier who found herself looking for a new home after her previous family, who had six children, realized they simply didn’t have the time she needed and deserved.

Don’t let her age fool you. Petunia still has PLENTY of energy and personality packed into that little egg head! She loves to play, be involved in whatever you’re doing (including hopping in the shower with you) , and keep life entertaining. Once she’s gotten her wiggles out, though, she is an absolute cuddle bug who would happily curl up with her person and soak up all the attention.

Petunia can do okay with other dogs, but she gets overstimulated easily and can become pushy when she’s excited. She isn’t necessarily looking for a dog best friend and would be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as the only dog in the home. If she does have a canine sibling, we feel she would do best with a larger, tolerant male dog who can handle her big personality. A meet and greet would be important to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Petunia is looking for a home with no cats.

She’s also currently on a weight-loss journey and working toward becoming a healthier, more athletic version of herself. She’ll need a family willing to keep her active, manage her portions, and help her continue making progress.

Petunia’s ideal home understands that Bull Terriers are energetic, goofy, stubborn, affectionate little weirdos. She needs someone who will give her structure, appropriate outlets for her energy, and plenty of love.

At 6 years old, Petunia still has so much life, love, and ridiculous Bull Terrier personality left to give. She’s ready for a home where she can finally be someone’s priority.
