Petey in Colorado's Story

Meet Petey, the absolute sweetest, cutest, and most easy going 14-year-old fluff ball you will ever meet!

This resilient little guy is a total social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, and he loves nothing more than following his favorite human everywhere. He is a quiet, curious gentleman who does a happy little prance at mealtime, navigates stairs like a pro, and enjoys going for walks on his harness. While he has a very hard time hearing, he is excellent at responding to visual cues like a tap on your leg to call him over.
True to his senior status, Petey has a few health issues, but everything is managed now and he is feeling good. He recently had a dental procedure to remove his remaining teeth, so he happily eats a prescription wet-food diet. His daily heart disease medications are easily popped right into his food, and though he has an occasional nighttime coughing spell, it doesn't slow down his happy spirit. He is a champion cuddler who loves sleeping in the big bed and easily uses pet stairs to climb up and down.
Petey is accustomed to wearing a male wrap indoors while settling into new places, but he is a wonderful routine-oriented boy who will gladly do his business outside if taken out right after he wakes up. This precious senior guy is searching for a dedicated, small-dog-loving adopter who will keep up with his routine veterinary care and daily meds. If you are ready to give Petey a comfortable, love-filled home for his golden years, he is ready to reward you with endless affection!
Ready to adopt this precious fella?
