Abandoned and left to brave some of the coldest winter days the South has seen, my story could have ended in despair. Luckily I was rescued and given a second chance. When I first arrived, I was tentative and scared - hesitant to let anyone get close or offer a comforting touch. But slowly I've been rebuilding my trust, and now I am like a different dog in my current foster home. I love to play with other dogs, regardless of their size. I am very shy upon meeting new people, but once trust is earned, I become an incredibly loyal companion. I am ready to share my heart with someone special who'll cherish my resilient spirit and give me time to warm up and come out of my shell.

Compatibility:
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Unknown
Kids: Has been good with 12+, has not been exposed to younger while in our care

The Basics:
House broken: Yes
Crate trained: Yes

If you are interested in Petey, please email adoptions@rufftalesrescue.org
