Petey's Story

Meet Petey! This little mystery mix is 7 months old, 14 lbs, and 100% happy. Petey is thrilled to be with people, dogs, kids... really, he is thrilled to be included in anything you do. He loves a good snuggle on the couch, a walk outside, or to follow his people around to see what they are up to. His foster family has noticed that Petey is always smiling. He is doing well with house training and kennel training. Perky Petey would make a great addition to any household!

We are currently awaiting the results of a DNA test and will post them as soon as we know. We got little Petey on Saint Patrick’s day after he survived parvovirus, he is one lucky boy and we were lucky to receive such a perfect pup. Please apply to meet Petey at Yvpr.org

He will be neutered and chipped prior to being adopted.

Adoption fee is $250.00. If an application is approved, the applicant will be notified via email.

Yakima Valley Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
Applications for our pets must be filled out at https://yvpr.org/adopt/, not the petfinder site. An application must be filled out and approved before a meet/greet can be set up. If approved, you will hear from an adoption coordinator within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at our rescue office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator. If a pet has 'pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for. Thanks for thinking adoption. For more information go to http://yvpr.org/adopt/faq/
