Petey

Petey’s owner passed away months ago and he was placed in a relative’s home that was not the right environment for a shy dog. The home was entirely too busy and chaotic and most days Petey was scared and would display fear aggression. The family wanted to euthanize him but instead, agreed to surrender him to us. Since placing Petey in a foster home more suited to his personality, he has become the sweetest little fella. He is once again happy, playful and enjoys life. <br/><br/>Petey is a Jack Russell terrier mix, approximately eight years old and weighs 18lbs. He is very shy and nervous upon first meeting but comes around fairly quickly. He will do best in a calm environment with no small kids. Petey is searching for a family that wants a lapdog and will allow him to be your shadow. He just wants to be near his people and snuggle until his little heart is content. Petey also prefers a home where he will not be left for long periods of time. He is house trained, does well with dogs, cats unknown. Apartment lifestyle might not be the best because be will bark when left alone. <br/><br/>Petey’s adoption fee is $300.
