Petey's Story
If you've ever looked at Petey and thought, "That doesn't look like a pure husky..."

You're right.

We have no idea what all is mixed in there. But whatever he is, he's 100% Petey.

Petey came to us when he was only 9 months old, and now he's getting ready to turn 4. He's spent most of his life growing up here.

He loves people. He's goofy, playful, full of energy, and still thinks life is one big game. Give him a toy, and he's a happy guy. He still loves to play like a puppy and would much rather be having fun than doing anything else.

He's also kind of a sasshole. Petey will resource guard his people, so he'd do best as an only dog or with someone who has plenty of experience with huskies or other strong, independent breeds.

He's still part of our "young and dumb" group because he hasn't quite figured out that he's an adult now. He would really benefit from someone who enjoys training, can provide structure, and will give him positive outlets for all that energy.

He's not going to be the right fit for everyone, and that's okay. He just hasn't found his people yet.

We'd really love for this to be the year he finally gets to celebrate his birthday in a home.
