If you find a pyr you love, you can have him/her home quickly!

Meet Peter, a young Great Pyrenees pup who lives his life like someone pressed fast-forward on the “goofball” button and then lost the remote. Lively, curious, and hilariously playful, Peter has more energy than your typical Pyr, which means he’s searching for a forever home that can match his upbeat rhythm. He’d thrive with another young, playful dog to be his partner in crime, and he’d love a home with active kids who think running around the yard is the best sport ever invented. Born around February 2025, Peter adores his toys, and you'll often find him happily trotting around the yard with his treasures, occasionally sprinting past with something squeaky in his mouth. He greets his toys each morning like long-lost friends and immediately invites them to join whatever fantastic plan he has for the day. His signature move: laying on his back, toy in mouth, legs in the air, looking like he invented a new form of canine yoga. This fun-loving boy somehow manages to be both delightfully silly and impossibly endearing, often at the exact same time. Peter is wonderfully food motivated—he savors mealtime like it’s a national holiday—and while he may need some coaching on eating slower, his love of carrots and willingness to expand his culinary horizons make training a breeze. Car rides and leash walking aren’t his natural talents, but he’s been learning steadily with his foster mom. He might need continued practice, especially since his heart belongs to open spaces where he can run freely and pursue the imaginary quest he’s concocted that day. A big yard or property? That’s his version of winning the lottery. What makes Peter unforgettable is his goofy, sometimes clumsy charm—the kind of pup who turns everyday life into a comedy show you’ll never want to turn off. He's a constant source of joy and laughter in his foster home with his silly antics and sweet personality, proving that life is better with a pup who knows how to have fun. This joyful, energetic little guy will bring endless laughter and big-hearted love to the happy, lively home that’s lucky enough to scoop him up. Peter will need obedience training as he gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. He loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as his mentor as he continues to understand the rules of his new world.

Here's what one of our adopters says about our ability to match dogs:
- "I am not sure what very real MAGIC you have from across the continent, but I really love it. You have done it again! Another love match!- Thank you for four out of five Pyrenees coming from GPRS and each of them have been perfect for us.… And for each other! One month together and “Lady“is healing and happy. Thank you for all of your very hard work. Keep honing your intuition … it is spot on!" ....Julie P

ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206.

All dogs and puppies require VISIBLE fencing

Adoption fee: $350 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel).
