Peter's Story

Peter is an ultra adorable 7 month old sheltie mix weighing in at about 25-30lbs.
This little heartbreaker is as sweet as they come. He absolutely adores playing fetch in the yard, having a good frolic, or snuggling up next to you on the sofa for a quiet evening at home.
He's still just a young puppy, so he can be mouthy when he gets excited while playing - while he's not too wild, and settles easily in the house, he really wants a family that thinks his puppy antics are loads of fun like we do, and who will have a blast playing with him.
Peter came from a high kill shelter in Texas, where he was overlooked due to extreme shyness. A wonderful organization took him in, and placed him in foster care where he learned how to live in a home, and how to trust humans. He then made the trek to the Pacific Northwest where he moved in with our trainers for a little more socialization and exposure.
Peter can still be a little shy upon first meeting, but he warms up in a jiffy...
Especially if you come bearing toys or treats.
And we're confident that as he gets more exposure, most of that shyness will become a thing of the past.
In fact...
It's already far less than it was.
He also gets a little scared around lots of traffic (big trucks are particularly terrifying), so we feel a busy urban environment might be a little overwhelming for him and he'd prefer a quieter neighborhood.
He's great with other dogs, and would love a buddy to run and play with.
If you are interested in making Peter a part of your family, and you'd like to schedule a time to meet him, fill out an application here: https://j163jarsr1t.typeform.com/to/YvgcEVPA

It's already far less than it was.
