Peter's Story

Peter is one of 13 dogs recently rescued from unsanitary living conditions in Passaic when their owner was being evicted. The dogs were all scared, matted, and not socialized outside the home but are all warming up nicely and sweet little ones once they feel safe. They LOVE other dogs and rely on them for security, so will need to be adopted into homes that have another friendly dog in the household OR can be adopted in compatible pairs. They will all need some patience walking on leash and working on housebreaking, typical of dogs from puppy mill and hoarding situations but this crew is very people-focused and soaking up all the attention they are getting. They are currently in the process of being vetted, groomed, and spayed/neutered and will be ready for homes very soon... please submit an application to meet them by appointment once they are ready.

Peter appears to be mostly yorkie mix, about 4 years old and only 7lbs. He's timid but warming up quickly in foster care and learning from following his doggie friends. He has turned into a silly playful guy with his foster mom, loves to climb, explore, and play and most of all cuddle. He gets nervous with new people approaching and be protective of his person, and will need a calmer adult home to continue to socialize him in a positive way. Primary Color: Silver Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 7lbs Age: 4yrs 1mths 0wks Animal has been Neutered
