He was found running down a busy road and picked up by a Good Samaritan who got him to safety at animal control. Sadly, no one ever came to claim him. So that's where we stepped in and turned one bad day into the start of a wonderful forever! <br/><br/>Pete is wonderfully social with others dogs of all sizes and adores the kitties in his foster home! He will do great with either in his forever home, too! He is a submissive little guy who is more than happy to let anyone else take the lead. His gentle nature, even as a young pup, constantly shines through with everyone he meets. He can be a little shy still in meeting new people, but give him 5 minutes and he'll be bouncing at your feet, calling you his new bestie! He is definitely a tiny shadow to his humans and will happily follow you wherever you go! In true Chi Chi fashion, Petey loves to cuddle and be your favorite lap dog. While he enjoys all his toys and chew bones, we think the endless options of fluffy, perfectly comfy beds and couches is one of his favorite things! <br/><br/>Pete is still a young pup but is doing very well with potty training. He will need continued consistency in his forever home, but he's already learned so quickly in his foster home. We know he will learn a new routine quickly. He is doing STELLAR with crate training and does not have any accidents in his crate while his foster family is at work. He's extremely food motivated and eager to learn and please his people, which makes training in general so much easier. He had likely never been on a leash before coming into our care so his foster mom is working diligently at getting him comfortable with walks and outings. Though he may be little, he is brave and curious and has done so well building confidence with new things! Petey loves his movie nights on the couch, but don't be fooled! Those long legs can get him into high speed zoomies around the yard and living room in no time! He is still a puppy after all and loves to play. He will be the perfect small dog, ready for Netflix and chill or hit the trail for a fun hike! He's just an easy going guy with such a wonderful personality...plus, how cute is he!? <br/><br/>Pete's adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
