Pete's Story

Meet Pete! This 6 year old, 60 pound, soulful-eyed boy is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can feel safe, loved, and secure. Pete has been through some challenges, so he will need a little extra time to decompress and adjust to new surroundings. With your kindness and commitment, Pete will open up and learn to trust, building a bond that will last a lifetime.Though Pete might be hesitant and insecure at first, his loyalty and affection is unmatched once he feels comfortable. In return for your patience, you’ll gain a devoted companion who enjoys being by your side, through thick and thin. He is the best work-from-home buddy and will happily lay at your feet all day. Once the work day is over, he is the best couch cuddler and all around companion.Pete has been fostered in a home with several other dogs, big and small, old and young. Of course proper introductions are always needed, but as a medium energy guy, Pete enjoys daily romps in the yard with his friends! Due to his insecurities, Pete would enjoy older kids that can be respectful when he's feeling unsure and prefers a feline-free home. Pete has already mastered his house training and crate training and is ready to show off these skills! There are so many great things about our wonderful Pete, and he is ready to share them with his forever family. Could that be you? Pete’s fee for adoption is $500. This includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, and transport/rescue fees. Interested in adopting Pete?
