Meet Pete! <br/><br/>Dogs: Well- Matched <br/>Cats: No thank you<br/>Kids: Older teens maybe <br/><br/>This sweet 9-month-old Aussie Cattle Dog mix came to us in late August scared, underweight, and unsure of the world. Since then, Pete has been working hard with our team and vet to feel better, gain some much-needed weight, and discover that life can be pretty wonderful. <br/><br/>Now at 26 lbs, Pete is a playful, energetic little guy with lots of drive and so much potential! He is looking for a special forever home that will continue building his confidence using fear-free, food-based, positive reinforcement training.<br/><br/>Because Pete is still learning to feel safe, and because food is very important to him after not having enough of it, he can be a little rough with his mouth when taking treats. For this reason, we are looking for a home without young children. Older, respectful teens may be a possibility.<br/><br/>We also think Pete could thrive with a well-matched, confident canine companion who can help show him the ropes of being a beloved family dog. <br/><br/>Pete has been vaccinated, dewormed and de-flead.
