Petals's Story
Looking for a little lap dog? Petals is your girl!

Petals is a sweet, happy little lady with a heart as big as her smile. She loves everyone she meets and enjoys the company of both cats and dogs. She would thrive in a home with another furry companion to keep her company. She also does well with children, provided they are respectful and gentle with her small size.

She’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when she’s rolling around in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Petals also loves following her humans around the house and “supervising” whatever they’re doing.

Petals does have mild separation anxiety that we’re actively working through, and she’s getting a little better each day. Overall, she has very good house manners, but she is not fully potty trained yet. Her previous owner used potty pads, so while she does go potty outside, she still has occasional accidents in the house. Because of her breed type, Petals will need regular grooming every 4–6 weeks, so she’s looking for a family prepared to keep up with her grooming needs.

Her ideal home would be with someone retired, semi-retired, or working from home, as she truly loves being close to her people. That said, she could absolutely do well in a home with a standard 9–5 schedule, as long as her new family understands there may be a transition period while she adjusts.

Petals is a wonderful little girl who, with compassion, patience, and consistency, will make an amazing addition to just about any home.

This animal is fostered in: Burlington, WI

All of our animals reside in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their perfect match. If you are interested in meeting this animal, please complete an adoption application on our website: https://www.BestPawsRescue.com

Spay/Neuter Policy
Any animal that has not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption will require a signed Spay/Neuter Agreement and a refundable $100 deposit (payable by check or electronic payment). The procedure must be completed within six (6) months of the adoption date. Once Best Paws Rescue receives acceptable proof of the spay/neuter procedure, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter.
Failure to comply with the terms of the Spay/Neuter Agreement within the required six (6) months will result in forfeiture of the deposit. If the procedure is performed by one of Best Paws Rescue’s approved veterinary partners, the full cost of the spay/neuter is covered by the adoption fee.

Ages and breeds are our best estimates, and we cannot make any guarantees. Most of our animals come from overcrowded shelters with limited resources. We do our best to evaluate each animal’s behavior and medical needs and place them into loving foster homes until they are ready to go home with you. Our organization is operated entirely by dedicated volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.
