Perfect Pinta's Story

This big mushy girl with a heart of gold is named Pinta!!! This girl was owned by a family who loved her very much. They snuggled with her in bed at night and did their best with the resources they had to give her a great life. The wife fell very ill and required emergency surgery and apparently the combination of everything made them feel they needed to give her to a better home. They gave her to an acquaintance who was an apparent dog lover and truck driver and wanted a bestie to travel with. He picked her up and drove over 27 hours away, abandoning her, leaving her for dead. She was found after she walked into city limits, emaciated and desperate for a meal, someone to love, and a warm soft place to rest. She went into the pound where thankfully everyone immediately cared for her and ensured she would make it out. It was through tracing her microchip that we learned her story. She was welcomed into a fantastic foster home and is doing amazing while she gets ready for adoption!!!
Pinta is 6 years old, and this girls ideal weight (she’s getting there!) is about 70 lbs. She’s now been to the vet and is now current on all vaccines, deworming, she’s heartworm tested negative, and she is spayed. She is also current on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. She is a healthy happy girl, and she absolutely cannot wait to find her true forever home!!
This girl is not only a big mush, but she’s just so easy to love. As she’s gone into foster care, she’s done great with every dog she’s met, and is very well behaved. Having a history of a life where she was a loved house dog has given her a foundation where she is great with house manners, she reliably goes potty outside, and she has a medium to low energy level. She has the perfect energy level in that she doesn’t really need or ask for anything but rather reflects whatever you’d like. If you want to take her on a hike, she would love to go. Car rides? She loves them. Any sort of activity you want to do with her and she’s ready! She absolutely loves to go for walks, will play catch, really anything you’d like to do with her and she’ll be happy to do it! That said, if you worked a full day and just want to snuggle up on the sofa with her and watch a movie, she’ll soak it all in with gratitude. She’s fine with lazy rainy days or cozy winter days spent relaxing at home, and will match your energy on your more active days. She enjoys toys and her favorite ever is a lamb stuffed animal which she loves to carry around with her. She’s been fine with the pups in her foster home but is also fine as an only dog. She doesn’t require the companionship of other pups, but is good with it too. Her main desire is just to have a close loving connection with her humans. She is absolutely gorgeous with such incredible markings, and loves to give kisses, get hugs, and smiles all the time!!!
If this amazing beauty is your dream pup and you’d love to rescue her and have her be by your side for many years to come, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org/applicationdogs and submit an application for adoption today!!!

**NOTE** to ensure prompt response- please go directly to our website (www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org) to apply, or email (inquiries.rescuematch@aol.com) directly with any questions to ensure your inquiry/application is received by our organization.
