Perdita 's Story
Meet Perdita — Mama of the Contrast Crew & Ready for Her Own Happy Ending

Perdita has done the hardest job there is… raising her babies. Now this sweet mama is officially available for adoption and ready to finally be someone’s spoiled house dog.

She has completed heartworm treatment, finished all her vetting, and is house and crate trained.

Perdita is an absolute love once she feels safe. She may be a little shy at first and sometimes barks when new people arrive, but give her a little time and you’ll quickly become her favorite person. She is gentle, affectionate, and enjoys a calm, steady environment.

She has done well with other dogs and may just need slow, thoughtful introductions at first. She is currently enjoying playtime with Yoda, a six-month-old American Bully puppy, and the two have become best friends. We believe she could thrive in a home with another friendly, respectful dog and would likely do best with a male companion.

Perdita does well with teenagers and up, but younger children tend to make her nervous, so a quieter household would suit her best.

Before coming to us, Perdita did not have an easy life and was taken in by animal control as part of a cruelty case after her former owner went to prison. Despite her past, she remains incredibly sweet and trusting and is simply waiting for someone to show her what forever really looks like.

Perdita at a glance:
• 3 years old
• 56 lbs
• Completed heartworm treatment and fully vetted
• House and crate trained
• Sweet, affectionate, and loyal
• Shy at first but warms up quickly
• Dog-friendly with slow introductions
• Would likely do best with a male dog
• Good with teens; younger children make her nervous
• Laid-back and gentle

If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion with a soft soul, Perdita may be the perfect match for your home.
