Meet sweet Percy <br/>A medium size, loving border collie - boxer mix who turned 11 on Christmas day. He has a beautiful brindle fur of 3 colours. <br/>About Percy <br/>• Male <br/>• A young soul in an older body.<br/>• Energy level: medium to high.<br/>• Smart and loving. <br/>• Is great with dogs, cats & loves people. <br/>• Percy is anxious with young kids and would be better suited with older mature kids that respect his boundaries <br/>• Being he is such a gentle soul; a home with calmer and older kids who respect a dogs space would be better as he is an anxious dude. <br/>• Loves to sleep next to you on the sofa when watching a movie & loves being part of the family.<br/>• Loves to press his face on your neck to get a proper hug. <br/>Background <br/>Percy’s family made the extremely difficult decision to put Percy up for adoption because of their 2-year-old child being loud & running around the house makes Percy too nervous & he simply does not know where to hide to feel safe. A new baby is also arriving in a few weeks which will just be too much for him. Percy is looking for his new forever home where he’ll be loved & live the life that he deserves <br/>Ideal Home <br/>Percy would do best in a active home where he can play and take long walks so he can discover his new surroundings. He loves to lay on his bed when he wants quiet time. He has amazing recall & does not need to be crated. He is house trained & does not destroy anything in the house.<br/>Percy is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and sterilized and will come with his medical booklet.<br/><br/>Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months. We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things! <br/><br/><br/>Voici le doux Percy <br/>Un magnifique croisé Border Collie – Boxer de taille moyenne, affectueux, qui a fêté ses 11 ans le jour de Noël.<br/>Il a un superbe pelage bringé de trois couleurs.<br/> À propos de Percy<br/>• Mâle<br/>• Une jeune âme dans un corps plus âgé<br/>• Niveau d’énergie : moyen à élevé<br/>• Intelligent et très affectueux<br/>• Ok avec les chiens et les chats, et adore les humains<br/>• Percy est anxieux avec les jeunes enfants et serait mieux dans une famille avec des enfants plus vieux et matures qui respectent ses limites<br/>• Étant une âme douce, un foyer avec des enfants plus calmes et plus âgés qui respectent l’espace d’un chien serait idéal, puisqu’il est un peu anxieux 😟<br/>• Aime dormir collé contre toi sur le sofa pendant un film et adore faire partie de la famille<br/>• Aime appuyer son visage contre ton cou pour recevoir un vrai bon câlin<br/>Son histoire <br/>La famille de Percy a pris la décision extrêmement difficile de le mettre en adoption, puisque leur enfant de 2 ans, très bruyant et qui court partout dans la maison, le rend trop nerveux. Percy ne sait tout simplement plus où se cacher pour se sentir en sécurité.<br/>Un nouveau bébé arrivera aussi dans quelques semaines, ce qui serait trop pour lui à gérer.<br/>Percy cherche maintenant sa famille pour la vie, un foyer où il sera aimé et où il pourra enfin vivre la vie qu’il mérite <br/>Foyer idéal <br/>Percy ferait mieux dans une famille active, où il pourra jouer et faire de longues promenades afin de découvrir son nouvel environnement.<br/>Il aime aussi se coucher sur son lit lorsqu’il a besoin de tranquillité.<br/>Il a un excellent rappel et n’a pas besoin d’être en cage.<br/>Il est propre dans la maison et ne détruit rien.<br/>Percy est vacciné, micropucé, vermifugé et stérilisé. Il partira avec son carnet médical.<br/>Parfois, un chien a besoin d’un peu plus de temps pour s’ouvrir. Vous pourriez voir sa personnalité se dévoiler de plus en plus au fil des jours, des semaines ou même des mois. Nous ne savons pas toujours ce qu’ils ont vécu avant d’être secourus, mais les chiens sont incroyablement résilients, pardonnent facilement et débordent d’amour. Construire une relation de confiance avec un chien de refuge est la chose la plus importante. Stabilité, patience, renforcement positif et amour sont essentiels
