Peppy 's Story

Meet Peppy!

Peppy is a tiny little survivor with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to share it with. This 8-year-old Yorkie weighs about 8 pounds and is learning, for the first time in his life, what it truly means to be part of a family.

Peppy came from a breeder situation where he spent his life as a stud dog, never getting the love and attention he deserved. Because of that, he can be a bit shy when first meeting new people. But give him a little time, patience, and kindness, and you’ll see him blossom into an incredibly affectionate and devoted companion.

Once Peppy feels safe, he loves his people deeply. He enjoys being held, staying close, and soaking up all the love he missed out on for so many years. It’s truly special to watch him discover comfort and affection—and he appreciates every bit of it.

Peppy recently had all of his teeth removed (he may have one little tooth left), but he’s doing great and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’s still a happy, easygoing little guy who just needs a soft diet and a loving home.

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has done great with cats in his foster home as well. Peppy is crate trained, sleeps peacefully in his crate at night, and is doing well using both puppy pads and going outside. He’s eager to please and continues to learn more every day.

Peppy is a gentle soul who will thrive in a patient, loving home that can give him the time he needs to fully come out of his shell. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption. If you have a soft spot for a dog who just needs a second chance and will repay you with unconditional love, Peppy is your boy.

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application
