Pepper's Story
Meet "Pepper"

Description of pet
***The Ark of Hope Rescue does not have an adoption fee but we do ask that you consider what The Ark of Hope Rescue does for all the animals that arrive here and make a monetary donation to the rescue. All the animals that come to the rescue have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Most come with large vet bills, the only means that we have to pay our bills, food, treats, bedding, toys...supplies are by your financial donations! Also this rescue is staffed Completely by volunteers, NO paid salaries here!

***After you read Pepper's biography below, if you are interested in visiting her or any other dog here at The Ark go to: www.arkofhoperescue.org under the filmstrip of pictures you will see "The Adoption Procedure" click on that, scroll down to the bottom and click on “Dog Adoption Application.” Fill it out and attach it to an email (arkofhoperescue@yahoo.com) You will get an email confirmation when it is received. Then as soon as possible someone from The Ark will be in touch with you. Or you can call and ask for Dianne @ 301-478-3300.
This bio needs "fixed" it will be "repaired" shortly...
***Why is this beautiful girl here?
Pepper is a Rottweiler / Husky mix, approximately 1 year old. She is now spayed, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped. Pepper was brought to The Ark of Hope Rescue after her mom called and told us the Pepper has been repeatedly attacked by her mother/dog. The last time was so bad, Pepper wouldn't come out of hiding for a couple of days. We don't know if she's ever been around children and Pepper is afraid of new people, so children is probably not a good idea until she can trust her new family. She is good with other dogs once they meet and the other dog isn't aggressive. She was allowed to play with Ash, another rescue dog here and just loved running playing and have a great time together. It would be fantastic if we could find a wonderful home with a fenced yard that would adopt both Pepper and Ash, but we know that would be a huge request! Pepper does deserves a wonderful life filled with love and with people she can learn to trust and feel safe with again. We believe if we could find her the perfect patient people/home, WITH A FENCED YARD she'd make a great addition to the right family. She needs a family to love her and a family that she will learn to trust and love in return! Pepper is an amazing pup that deserves a wonderful ending to an extremely sad and heart breaking life so far.
If you may be that person or that family please follow the directions above in the second paragraph and let's make a meet and greet date! You can always call and ask for Dianne for more information 301-478-3300.
If you email the adoption application, put the dog's name in the subject line!
