Pepper's Story

Pepper is approx 10 years old. Pepper lived the majority of his life outdoors and was someone's hunting dog prior to coming to our shelter. The owner chose not to claim him.
Pepper is around 80 lbs. He is not housetrained--but given the opportunity to be in the fenced in yard he will do his business outside. Pepper will walk on leash ok and seems to love when the volunteers take him out.
He is not perfect----but he could be perfect for someone that is willing to give him a chance. Pepper never had the opportunity to live inside and was never given the chance to be a sidekick like most dogs.

He is a work in progress. Please note he would likely not be a good candidate in a home with cats. He can also be dog selective--so he must meet any other dog in the home prior to adoption being approved. Pepper is really independent and is not cuddly or actively seeks out human attention. He prefers to sniff things and hang out in the fenced in areas here.

We require an application to be completed. If you have interest in Pepper please contact the Morrow County Dog Shelter at 419-946-1747 OR through this listing.

Dogs do not go home the same day as meeting and application completion.
