Pepper's Story

Meet Pepper! After spending a few years with a loving family, Pepper sadly lost her housing. In the shelter, Pepper was a bit too shy to come out of her shell. She lucked out with foster placement where we've seen her personality truly shine. Here's what Pepper's foster has to say about her:

"This dog is truly one of a kind. She is sweet, loving, gentle and just wants to be invited to the party. Pepper's favorite thing is being near her people. If you move rooms, she follows. If you sit down, she quietly leans in like she has always been part of the family. She connects quickly and genuinely with the people she meets, and her gentle nature shows right away.
She is medium sized with a short low shed coat and soft, expressive eyes, incredibly sweet and remarkably gentle. She loves people and warms up quickly to new ones. She takes cues very well and responds nicely to direction. She already knows sit, stay, and give paw, and she is eager to please.
One of the nicest things we learned about Pepper during foster, is how well she matches the energy around her. If it is playtime, she is excited and ready to go. Toss a ball or grab a rope toy and she is all in. If the house is calm, she settles right along with it and relaxes nearby. She is fully potty trained and crate trained. When she is ready to rest, she walks right into her crate on her own and settles comfortably. On walks she does well and enjoys getting out to explore.
Pepper has also been wonderful with the other dogs she has met so far.
She is a curious little thing that sniffs everything and will try different foods - has not met a food she dislikes yet!
Pepper would do beautifully with someone who wants a dog that is affectionate, responsive, playful, and calm when it is time to unwind. An individual or a family - she is just happy to be invited to the party. If you are looking for a loyal dog who will bond quickly and bring warmth into your home, Pepper is the dog you have been waiting for."

Pepper is hoping that her next home will be forever.

Interested in adopting?
