Pepper's Story
Dutch Shepherd (?) Mix
Female (spayed)
50 pounds
3-4 years old

Pepper is believed to be a Dutch Shepherd mix as there are several that work the ranches in the area where the pound was located. However, that said, this IS Southeast Texas where anything and everything not only is bred here but is abandoned here as well. She does exhibit attributes of the Dutch Shepherd, consistently checking perimeters, staying alert, and showing off her athletic ability!
Pepper is an adult dog, believed to be 3-4 years of age. She is in good physical condition, is now heartworm negative, spayed, vaccinated and ready for a forever home. She is very loving and gentle with those at the rescue and loves nothing more than a walk, a belly rub and to have her ears scratched. However, due to lack of social interaction before us, she is still very cautious in public but is working through that hiccup quite nicely.

Sleek and beautiful, her athletic form would be amazing with someone who loves to hike or jog. Although she loves the comforts of home, she's truly the outdoorsy type of girl at heart. She is very comfortable on her walks in the woods and would like to try some mountains, but you know, there aren't any here! We believe she would excel in agility training and may even give those Border Collies a run for their money on the farm!
That's where you come in. We cannot give this strikingly beautiful dog what you can offer her. As a rescue of many, our time with her has to be limited and she deserves so much more. She deserves YOU!

The link to the adoption application:
https://sweetpups.wufoo.com/forms/q1k5qz750746m55/

Our email address:
swe181@sweetpups.org

Adoption fee $300
Transport is available for out of area adopters but is not included in the adoption fee.

Learn more about us on our website:
www.sweetpups.info

All our dogs are located in Texas but we can arrange transport.
