Meet Pepper! <br/><br/>Pepper is a happy, playful puppy who is ready to leave shelter life behind and start the adventure she's been waiting for!<br/><br/>At approximately 7 months old, Pepper has already spent far too much of her young life in a shelter. She was one of a litter of 14 puppies brought to the Chillicothe Animal Shelter in April, where she spent the first four months of her life growing up behind kennel doors.<br/><br/>Thankfully, Pepper has now gotten her second chance.<br/><br/>Every day she goes to daycare, where she spends her days playing with other dogs, building confidence, and learning all about life outside of a shelter. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is getting valuable socialization that will help her thrive in her forever home.<br/><br/>Like any young puppy, Pepper is full of curiosity and is eager to learn. She'll benefit from continued training, daily exercise, and a family committed to helping her grow into the wonderful adult dog she's destined to become.<br/><br/>We believe she may be a Hound/Heeler mix, giving her the potential to be an intelligent, loyal, and fun-loving companion for an active family.<br/><br/>Most of all, Pepper is simply looking for what every puppy deserves—a family to love her, a soft bed to sleep in, and a lifetime of adventures.<br/><br/>Now it's time for her to discover just how wonderful life can be in a forever home. <br/><br/>FEMALE<br/><br/>Basics: She is a spayed female guessed to be around 7 months and she weighs close to 25lbs. She is currently fostered in Lenexa, KS<br/><br/>Adoption Process: <br/>- Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application <br/><br/>- One of our team members will get back to you via phone. <br/>- Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding <br/>- Adoption fee of $200 helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. <br/>-We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
