Meet Pepper!

Pepper is an absolute sweetheart! She is about 4 years old and weights about 35-36 pounds. Pepper was found as a stray in NC and was taken to an over populated shelter. She was adopted there, but unfortunately she was surrendered back because of the owner's allergies. Poor Pepper was back in the shelter.

FHDR transported Pepper to NJ to live in a foster home and she is now waiting for a furever home. The one word to describe Pepper is loving. Pepper’s foster family says……Pepper is a happy, energetic, sweet dog who gets along with everyone! She spends her days going for walks, playing with toys (squeaky) and hanging out with the family. We find her toys and treats in the corners of the room or under the sofa because she likes hiding them! Pepper is very easy going and playful. She listens very well and knows the commands sit, no, lay down. Pepper is on her way to being house trained. She loves laying down for belly rubs and she likes giving kisses. This sweet dog gets along well with other dogs. Pepper has a faboulous temperment!"

The breed and age of this pet is listed as is our best guess. We have no background info on who the mom and dad are.

Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be left alone all day.

We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here to NJ.
