Pepper's Story

DOB: 3/5/2023 - Pepper arrived at the shelter with her brother, Joel after her family had to move and couldn't take them along. She has settled in well at the shelter and is a volunteer favorite when we are visited by our friends with the Stone County Developmental Disability group!

She is playful, affectionate, and happiest when shes getting belly rubs, playing tug, or tagging along for outdoor adventures. Pepper can get excited when meeting new people and may jump at first, but she settles once she gets some attention.

Pepper is house trained, knows sit, walks fairly well on a leash, and gets along with other dogs. She has also done well with cats and has been gentle with young children, though her enthusiasm can occasionally get the best of her. She rarely barks, loves rope toys and snacks, and would enjoy a home where she gets plenty of attention, playtime, and love.

We would love if she could stay with her brother, Joel, but will adopt them separately to decrease their length of stay.
