Peppa's Story
Peppa is a sweet mama, who is around 2 years old and 40 lbs. She has a beautiful personality. She is incredibly submissive and very shy at first, but with the help of another family dog she opens up and loves to play. She likes treats but she really loves toys, especially squeekers which she will carry around everywhere. She loves her crate but prefers not to be alone too much. She very happily runs upstairs and straight into her crate just thankful to be near her family at bedtime. She will sleep without a peep. When she is alone she will cry or whine a bit, but she acclimates over time. When she has another dog in their crate nearby she doesn’t even make a peep. Her foster mom has to go into the office 3 days a week and she does ok in her crate with an afternoon walk from a dog walker. She will follow you around like your shadow. She is good on leash but when she feels unsure she lays down until you reassure her. She is house and potty trained. She is respectful, attentive, sits on command, and the gentlest treat taker. She is spayed and UTD on all vaccines and prevention. She loves everyone but prefers the quiet life-ideally sun bathing. Because Peppa still gaining confidence and the unpredictability of younger kids can make her nervous, she’d likely be best in a home with older/respectful children. She will need someone who is willing to give her some time and space to open up along with reassurance and love but she will repay it 10 fold <br/>Apply at OARWNY.org or email oarwny@gmail.com if already pre-approved.
