Peppa's Story

Peppa is a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix. She is approximately 5 years old. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been heartworm tested negative. Additionally, she had a blood panel done in September. She is scheduled to be spayed and have a dental done in early October and will be available for adoption shortly after.

Peppa is wonderful. She seems to like everyone she meets.

She is an alpha dog and can be food aggressive with other dogs (she is crated during her meals at the rescue). She shows no food aggression towards people. Because of her alpha tendencies, we would need to evaluate her interactions if there is another dog in the home.

Peppa is a tiny girl. She is an escape artist. Because of this, she will require a fenced yard, a physical fence would be preferred, but an invisible fence should be fine with her. She is a pretty sensitive girl - when she was vaccinated, she screamed like a banshee so we feel she would adjust well to an invisible fence.

If you are interested in meeting Peppa she is scheduled to be at Pet Supplies Plus in Howell (2649 E. Grand River) on Sundays from 11-2 at our Meet and Greet event.

It is helpful for you to bring pictures and/or videos of your backyard fenced area. Additionally, if you have another dog, it would be helpful for them to come with you so that we can see the interaction between them.

To complete a pre adoption application go to https://tinyurl.com/LETS-PreAdopt

We do not typically do day of adoptions.

No out of state adoptions.

Adoption Fee $350 (payable by cash, check or Venmo)

Kids 10 and older.

Minimum age to adopt is 21.
