PEPINO's Story
Meet Pepino!

Pepino is a gentle, sensitive boy who is making great progress as he settles into life outside the shelter. He's still learning that the world is a safe place, so he's looking for a patient and understanding family who will give him the time and space he needs to fully come out of his shell.

This sweet, submissive pup gets along well with other dogs—especially calm, mellow companions who match his easygoing vibe. Pepino has a medium energy level and enjoys bursts of playful zoomies after a good nap, but he's just as happy relaxing nearby once he's comfortable.

He appears to be house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. If he can't get out in time, he will use washable puppy pads, showing just how hard he's trying to be a good boy. Pepino can be a little unsure around new people and may bark at first, but with patience and gentle introductions, he warms up and learns to trust.

Pepino is crate trained and will settle in a wire crate, though he may whine briefly as he gets comfortable. He's still building confidence with walks, so a home with a fenced yard would be ideal for him to feel safe while he continues to grow.

Because Pepino can be a bit nippy when he feels overwhelmed or wants space, he would do best in a home without young children and with adopters who can respect his boundaries.

Above all, Pepino is searching for a loving, patient person who will support him, encourage him, and show him that the world can be a safe and happy place. With time, kindness, and care, he's sure to become a devoted and loving companion.
