Pepe's Story

Meet Pepe!

Pepe is a sweet and playful 4-year-old pup weighing 27 pounds. He has the perfect balance of fun and relaxation he loves playing fetch, chasing bouncy balls, going for walks, and spending time outdoors, but he's just as happy curling up on the couch for belly rubs and snuggles.

Pepe is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He knows basic commands like "wait," "no," and "leave it." He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with.

Pepe does best with a little patience and understanding. When he first entered rescue after being relinquished, he was understandably scared and overwhelmed and did exhibit some fear-based nipping toward his foster and intake team. After being given time to decompress and settle into a routineand following his neuterhe has blossomed into a happy, affectionate companion who has truly come out of his shell.

Because veterinary visits and grooming can still be stressful for him, Pepe may benefit from calming medication for those appointments as recommended by his veterinarian. In his forever home, he will need a family willing to give him a little time to adjust. Once he feels safe and comfortable, his sweet, loyal personality really shines.

Pepe would love a home with a fenced yard or another safe place to run and play. He is neutered, healthy, and ready to find his forever family.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves both adventures and cuddles, Pepe may be the perfect match for you!

Apply to adopt at: https://www.woofanimalrescue.org/adopt

This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue.
