Pepe's Story
Pepe is the cutest little long-legged Chihuahua with oversized ears that make him look just like Dobby. At about 10½ months old and 13 pounds, he’s the perfect small companion with a big personality.

Pepe can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time and he blossoms into the sweetest, most affectionate little guy. Once he feels safe, he absolutely loves to cuddle, sunbathe, and follow the other dogs around like their tiny shadow.

Pepe originally came to us as a teeny tiny puppy. Sadly, he was returned when his previous family realized they had taken on more than they could manage with multiple dogs and young children. Through it all, Pepe has remained a gentle, easy-going boy who just wants to belong.

He is very dog-friendly and great with toddlers. He hasn’t been around cats, but given his shy nature we suspect he’d likely be the one intimidated rather than the other way around.

Pepe is still working on his house training and does well in his crate. Like any young pup, he will thrive with a family willing to continue his training, socialization, and confidence building.

For a while we wondered if Pepe might be deaf because of how mellow he is, but it turns out he’s just a laid-back little soul who marches to the beat of his own drum.

This sweet boy is going to make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal little shadow.

Help us find Pepe the forever family he deserves — one that will give him patience, love, and a lifetime of snuggles.

First Step Is To Apply Now
[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application updates, forwarding requests, or any questions, contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
