PEPA - 10/10 pup's Story

Meet PEPA! Pepa is 8-9 years old and 48 lbs. Shes a beautiful brindle pittie mix!

Pepa is a 10/10 dog and she has quite an interesting story as well! To get the basics out of the way:

-she is excellent with other dogs! She is living with 4 other dogs of varying shapes and sizes and is great with them all. She is calm.
-she is excellent with every single person she has met! She would be great with children too. She is easy going and very sweet at all times. She has NO behavioral issues!
-she is fine being left alone
-she is perfect on a leash. She doesnt pull.
-she is 100% house trained and never even had ONE accident in the foster/rescuers home.
-she sleeps throughout the night soundly
-she has a good appetite
-SHES PERFECT!

HER STORY: Pepa was once owned by someone and then dumped in the neighborhood of Cayey. We dont know why but possibly because shes older. She then quickly became known as the marathon dog in the neighborhood. She was often spotted trotting alongside people as they did their daily exercise around a community running track. One day, her rescuer and now foster decided he was going to get some exercise on the track and spotted this dog, trotting along. He thought she might have been someones pet because she was so friendly. He thought nothing of it but kept seeing her so he inquired with some local people about her. They told him that Pepa was a recent community fixture by the track and people had asked about her before because it was such an unusual sight to see a dog trotting on the track. They even showed him a Facebook post that was done about her prior from someone else who had wanted to help her. It was clear to him that while people noticed her from afar, no one actually was helping her so he decided to rescue her and has had her ever since!

Pepa is an incredibly special dog who would easily fit into any household! She would be fine on a city, suburban or country setting. As long as she had a cozy place to rest her head, food and love, shes good to go!

Pepa is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and her bloodwork is perfect!

**PLEASE NOTE: Pepa is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship her along the East Coast, starting in Miami, ultimately into Virginia Beach. Anyone is welcome to apply and adopt her, as long as you are willing to pick up! The process is incredibly easy to get your dog over from Puerto Rico and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times!***

Please feel free to email us with any questions about her! We are a small all-volunteer boutique rescue and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
