Penny's Story
Meet Penny. Penny came to us from a commercial breeding kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs just under 5 lbs. Penny is about 3 and half years old. She is a very friendly little girl. Penny loves to snuggle and lay on dog beds. She likes to wear clothes because she is a little chilly right now until her hair grows in. Penny gets along very well with other dogs but could also be an only dog if you can give her lots of love and attention. She is not housebroken. She is just a tiny girl so she cannot go too long without going outside to go potty. She does like to go outside in a fenced in yard with her Foster's other dogs. Penny could possibly be taught to walk on a leash but it is not a guarantee so will need a fenced yard. Unfortunately, Penny hàd two seizures just 2 weeks apart. She did go to our veterinarian for a work up and we made sure she did not have any seizures for several weeks before we posted her again for adoption. She is not on any medication for seizures since she has not had any more. Her bloodwork did not show any reason for the seizures. She is no longer using oral flea and tick products to be on the safe side but has used Revolution without any issues. Penny is a Yorkie so she may need a dental cleaning every two years or so. Penny is now spayed, had a dental cleaning and is microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $350.
