Penny's Story

Penny has been a resident of the Middleborough Animal Shelter for 208 days — and in all that time, not a single adoption application has come in for her. But we know her perfect match is out there somewhere, just waiting to discover her.
Penny is around 5–6 years old, spayed, and up to date on her vaccines. She came to us as a stray from Worcester after being found wandering the streets, and since then, we’ve learned so much about this sweet and special girl.
Penny walks beautifully on a leash and absolutely loves her toys — she’s even ALMOST perfected the art of two-ball fetch! She’s an affectionate, playful girl who enjoys adventures just as much as quiet time at home. Penny would make the perfect companion for someone who loves long walks, car rides, or beach trips, but also appreciates cozy nights in watching scary movies and sharing some “pupcorn.”
While Penny’s heart is full of love, she does need an experienced owner who understands that sometimes excitement can make her a bit mouthy. For that reason, she’s looking for a home with no children and no other animal, just someone patient, kind, and ready to show her what true love feels like.
Penny may not be perfect, but she’s perfectly herself…loyal, fun, and full of heart. If you think you could be the one to give her the home she’s been waiting for, please come meet our sweet Penny. She’s ready to start her new life — and she’s hoping it’s with you.
