Penny 's Story

applications through https:///www.marshallsdogrescue.com/adoption-application/

Hi, I’m Penny! a 20 pound ball of absolute LOVE in a short legged, long bodied, wiggly, playful package.
She is an absolute country girl at heart! Penny has tried the city life and it just isn’t for her - too many strange people and strange noises to bark at.
Penny’s wish list includes a fenced yard, although she is happy with supervised play on a tie out and someone to throw balls and sticks for her. She really does enjoy being outside and would never say no to going for walk. Her leash skills do need work as she tends to pull where her nose guides her.
Penny also requires a lap or two or three to curl up on. She is the best snuggler and has a lot of love to give to the right person or people. She is fine to go in her crate at night and sleeps quietly until morning, but if you’d let her sleep in your bed she’d be thrilled!
Penny prefers a quieter home without a lot of people coming and going. She adores the 9 and 10 year old kids in her foster home, but gets anxious and barky around smaller children or boisterous behavior.
Penny enjoys other dogs of any size and wants nothing more than for them to run and play with her and will try her best to engage them. She is ok taking no for an answer though and would be fine in a home with or without a doggy playmate.
Penny is not destructive in the house, but she does love to collect and chew small objects. Her favorite collectible is nerf bullets! She would be also partial to a shoe or 2 if left home alone, so we keep those in the closet.
Penny is HIGHLY trainable and treat motivated. She is a smart and a quick learner. She would thrive in a home where there is lots of time for play, equally balanced with lots of cuddles and time on the couch with her people.

*Needs detached home, can be a barker*

applications through https:///www.marshallsdogrescue.com/adoption-application/
