Penny's Story

enny Needs Her Perfect Match

Penny is a beautiful 1.5-year-old, 90-pound mixed-breed girl looking for a home that fits her needs and allows her to thrive. She is healthy, fully vaccinated through Lakeside Vet in Hermitage, and comes with Heartgard and flea/tick prevention paid through July 2027.

Penny is incredibly smart and completed professional training through Canine Academy. She knows sit, stay, down, touch, and spot, and she loves learning and working with her person. She is affectionate, loyal, and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts.

She enjoys running, playing fetch, and being outdoors. She gets along well with other dogs and would do best with an active owner who can provide regular exercise and structure.

Penny’s ideal home:

Experienced dog owner
Large fenced yard or acreage
Active lifestyle
Ability to confidently handle a large, strong dog

Penny is not the right fit for every home. She has strong protective instincts and can be uncomfortable with unfamiliar people entering her home or yard. She does best when new people are introduced outside first and given time to earn her trust. Because of this, we’re seeking a home that understands and appreciates working-breed traits and is committed to continuing her training and management.

This decision is being made solely to find Penny an environment where she can be most successful and happy. She is a wonderful dog with so much love to give, and we are committed to finding her the right match rather than just the first available home.

She will go with her leashes, equipment, enrichment toys, and favorite wobble cone.

A rehoming fee applies to ensure a serious and responsible placement.

If you believe you may be the right fit for Penny, please send a message describing your experience with large breeds and the type of home you can provide.
