My name is Penny! Nice to meet you! I have just been lovingly welcomed to RR again after my recent adopter couldn’t care for me anymore. I originally came to RR last summer when my previous owner died. I got all kinds of medical care that I desperately needed and am truly thankful for! After lots of testing and treatments, I was put on both heart medicine (pimobenden) and Cushing’s medication (trilostane). I am a good girl and take my pills like a champ! They make me feel so much better! Because of the Cushing’s, I do drink lots of water but I go outside for the bathroom like a good girl. My foster mom says I haven’t had any accidents! Yay! I am a sweet cuddle bug that loves to curl up on the couch with you and nap! I LOVE to eat and I am very food motivated. I like to sleep in the big bed with you, but I also like slumbering on the cool floor where I can chill out- literally. I do snore, and loudly, I’m afraid, but it’s really cute when I do, I promise! I don’t really like to burrow, I prefer to lie on top of the covers. I have very low energy and prefer to just chill on the couch with you and relax. We can watch a movie together! I love other dogs and people and always greet my friends with a smile and tail wags! I would love to find my forever family to spend my golden years with. If you are interested in adopting one (or more!) of our Rescues, please fill out an adoption application at: https://therescuedrescuers.org/ Please note that we require all animals within the home to be current on annual vetting services. This information will be verified by your vet. If your pet(s) are not up to date on their annual shots, please make an appointment with your vet and take care of this prior to submitting an application. We will not approve any application until all vetting on current pets within the home is completed. After a vet check has been approved, a home visit will be scheduled with the pup(s) so that the new pup(s) can be introduced to the new family and environment.
