Available in Denver!<br/><br/>Penny is the most precious 7 1/2 month old Doberman girl you'll ever meet. We think she will be on the smaller side around 40 pounds full grown. She is currently 31 pounds. She is a tough girl with the best attitude around. She was born with cerebellar hypoplasia. Cerebellar hypoplasia is when the part of the brain (cerebellum) that controls balance and coordination did not fully develop. Think of the dog's brain as a computer and the cerebellum as the Wi-Fi router for movement. The router has a weak signal, so the commands to walk smoothly get delayed or choppy<br/><br/>Her breeders turned her over to a local shelter when they realized they wouldnt be able to sell her. The shelter found us and asked us to take her in. Her disability doesnt get her down! She does very well getting around. She requires soft surfaces and support. She does great in the grass and goes potty outside. She will let herself in and out if she has an available path. We have yoga mats on the hard surfaces and she does great getting around on them. We've been doing swimming therapy and you can really tell the difference after with her confidence. She can go for walks in her wagon! She LOVES other dogs, cats, and kids. She is as gentle as they come and her tail never stops wagging. Most of these kiddos do get more coordinated with time but she will not be going on walks without the wagon or a support harness assisting her. It will take patience and the right person. She knows her special person or people are out there for her! <br/><br/> She is x-pen trained and this is her safe little cushioned den. She sleeps and hangs out in her pen when she is not with you. She loves cuddling on the sofa with you and watching TV. She is potty trained. She loves to crawl up in your lap and loves cuddles any chance she gets. She is quick to make friends and loves going on adventures with you. You will need to be prepared to help carry her into the car and on stairs.
