Penny's Story

✨ Meet Penny! ✨
Penny is 13 years old, 11 lbs, and has the sweetest little heart you'll ever meet.
She came to us after being surrendered to the shelter with two other seniors because their owners were "moving." Despite all that, Penny hasn't lost her spark. She still has plenty of energy, so much love to give, and the cutest personality.
Penny is a professional snuggler -- her favorite place in the world is curled up next to you under a cozy blanket. If you stop petting her, she'll gently nudge your hand like, "hey... don't forget about me." She loves soaking up the sunshine, snoozing under the covers at night, and relaxing in her dog bed during the day.
And yes, she may only have a handful of teeth left, but don't worry -- she never lets that stop her from reminding you when it's mealtime. She's small, but her appetite and her enthusiasm are mighty!
Penny is simply an easy, loving, joyful little companion. She just wants a warm home, soft blankets, and someone who will adore her as much as she adores them.
🤍 If you're looking for a gentle, sweet senior girl to make your home warmer, Penny is waiting for you.
Sweet Penny loves to burrow under her blankets! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

https://longwayhome.org/apply

❤
Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
