Penny's Story

This is Penny. She’s 85 pounds of Great Dane meets Black Lab with just enough mystery DNA sprinkled in for fun. Penny is five, which in dog years means she’s fully over the chaos of puppy nonsense but still young enough to play fetch if you can toss the ball for her.

Penny is now fully bionic. Two ACL repairs later, Penny is stronger, faster, and ready to prove that orthopedic surgeons aren’t just for pro athletes. She’s housebroken, knows her commands, and is the kind of dog who makes you look like you actually trained her but she is naturally kind of fastidious.

Penny’s main hobbies are lounging hardcore, maintaining a squirrel-free yard, and ensuring the Amazon guy knows she is watching him because he is very shifty in her opinion. She does not like super chaotic environments and her ideal home needs to be calm and predictable with a fenced yard and people who don’t need constant social whirlwinds to feel alive. In the same vein, if you have kids with active social lives with constant comings and goings, Penny isn’t going to love that. However, if you house is more like true crime TV sofa binge sessions as your form of weekend entertainment, Penny is down with that.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online at www.bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption, then email katrina@bigfluffydogs.com. Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process.

NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION. WE REGRET WE CANNOT RESPOND TO EVERY EMAIL, BUT UNLESS YOU FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, WE DO NOT KNOW YOU EXIST.

All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be.
