Penny's Story

At only 10 months old, Penny has already spent too much of her young life without a place to truly call home. This small Lab mix has been homeless at least three different times, and while that could make some dogs give up on people, Penny still chooses love. She can be a little shy when faced with new places or unfamiliar situations, but her gentle heart shines through quickly. Penny has never shown aggression — just a cautious hopefulness while she figures out if she’s finally safe. Once she settles in, her playful puppy side comes alive. She loves other dogs, enjoys playtime, and is happiest when she has a friend nearby, whether human or canine. More than anything, Penny deserves consistency, kindness, and someone who won’t let her down again. She’s the kind of dog who may start out quietly watching from the sidelines, but before long she’ll be following you everywhere, leaning against your leg, and becoming the loyal best friend you didn’t realize you needed. Penny doesn’t need a perfect home. She just needs one that’s finally forever.
