Penny's Story

Meet Penny and yes you should put the word perfect infront of her name!

Penny is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl who absolutely adores her people.

Penny's best traits are that she is as loyal and loving as they come making her a great best friend and cuddly companion.

Penny is happiest spending time with her people but is absolutely perfect being left alone and navigating her day to day independently. Often times that looks like long snoozes on the couch.

A few months ago, Penny lost her family due to a housing crisis, and it's clear she was deeply loved and she is now eager to both give and receive that love for keeps this time.

Penny is a smart girl thats eager to please her humans and picks up training quickly. She knows knows sit, stay, paw, down, crate, and even understands some commands in Spanish

Penny walks well on leash yet will become alert if she see's another dog. Penny feels safest when her walker keeps her distanced and will offer cues if she is too close to another dog and is feeling worried - in which cases she can easily be redirected.

Penny has met small kiddos in her foster neighborhood and has been extremely friendly even while receiving treats from a toddler neighbor while riding the elevator together.

Penny is 100% housebroken and is good with a flexible poty schedule. She adores her crate and is happy to sleep in it over night and when she is home alone without any complaints.

Penny is extremely friendly with strangers she meets out doors yet can take some time to warm up and realize new people are safe inside the home. She benefits from slow and structured indoor meetings with new people with the space to disengage when she is feeling too fearful.

Despite the heartbreak of losing her family, she remains playful, curious, and full of heart..

If you're looking for a loving, cuddly companion who will happily share your couch, your snacks and your heart, Penny is your girl and if you think otherwise, you should apply to meet her and find out for yourself!.
