Pennie's Story
I’m Pennie 💛 like the coin, but I promise I’m worth way more than one. Not too long ago, I was just a name on a list at a very scary, very crowded shelter. My time was almost up, but a rescue saw me and said, “Not today, Pennie.” 🙏🏽 And just like that, my whole life changed. Now I’m in a foster home learning what it feels like to be safe, warm, and loved. And let me tell you, I like it here. A lot. 🥹 I’m about 3 or 4 years old, which means I’m past the chaotic puppy stage, you’re welcome 😌 but still young enough to enjoy walks, toys, and little adventures.

I am a very good girl, if I do say so myself. I am completely potty trained 🚽 and haven’t had a single accident since the day I arrived at my foster home. Amazing, I know 🤭. I walk beautifully on a leash like a polite little lady, and I have wonderful house manners. I settle nicely in the house and am very easy to live with.

I also happen to love treats 🦴, which my foster mom says makes me very motivated to be an even better girl. After a nice walk or a little playtime, you’ll usually find me curled up in my big, cozy stuffed bed 🛌

Now I have to tell you about my favorite thing in the whole world… stuffed animals 🧸

Ever since I got here, I’ve been carrying them around in my mouth. I gently take them out of my crate and hide them around the house like little treasures 🏴☠️💎 I may have had puppies in the past, and sometimes my foster mom wonders if I think my stuffed animals are my babies. No one knows for sure, but I do know they make me feel safe, and I take very good care of them ☺️

I seem to do well with other dogs, but my personality really shines in a calm, peaceful home 😌 I would be happiest with a mature person or couple who simply wants a loyal companion by their side.

My dream life is pretty simple 💭 I’d love someone who enjoys slow mornings ☀️ sitting outside with a cup of coffee ☕️ while I lay nearby soaking up the sunshine, and cozy evenings on the couch 🛋️. I’m not a wild or chaotic girl. I’m gentle, quiet, and just want to be close to my people 🥰

I almost lost my life once, but now I’m hoping the best part of it is about to begin 🥹

“Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck.” Adopt me, Pennie, and that luck will last a lifetime 🍀

No matter how you look at it, heads up or heads down, adopting me is the kind of luck that doesn’t come around often 😉
